8 Course Valentine's Day Dinner at The Tennessee Truffle

We were looking for something special for Valentine's Day meal, and we sure did find it at the Tennessee Truffle in Sanford.

I loved that a lot of the dishes incorporated nuts like walnuts and pistachio.

Each dish was so creative.


Chilled Dill Cucumber Creme Fraiche Soup

Cucumber and Sour Cream - 

Grapefruit, Big Daddy's Radish, Parisian Cucumber, Lump Crab



Roasted Big Daddy's Broccoli Rabe

Broccoli and cheddar -

Bartlett Pears, Double Smoked Cheddar, Toasted Walnuts, Orange Blossom Honey


Yankeetown, FL Oysters

Warmed in a Ramp Butter and Dashi Broth. This broth was very earthy


Beef tartar (shallots & chives)

Six minute fried Big Lazy Farms Egg (Sanford, FL) Sal de Gusmano (sea salt, toasted and ground agave worms and Chile CosteƱo), Toasted Rye, Whole Grain Aioli, Pickled Cherry Salad

Almond milk poached Salmon

Asparagus, Olives, Hickory Smoked Almonds, Puffed Wild Rice

Pan Roasted Duck Breast

Cara Cara Orange Supremes, Macadamia Nut Butter, Roasted Cauliflower, Duck Jus

Roasted Lamb Lollipop

Lavender/Goat Cheese Panna Cotta, Chioggia beer, golden beet, Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes (Waterkist Farms, Sanford, FL) Beet & Kale Greens, Pistachio Dust - I really enjoyed the strong herbs and seasoning on the lamb mixed with the mild milkiness of the goat cheese Panna Cotta.

Southern Vinegar Pie

Goat Milk+ Honey Ice Cream with Macha Salt, Big Lazy Farms(Sanford, FL) Goat Milk


If you get a chance to try Tennessee Truffle it's highly recommended.
